There is a lot to be said about couples but Ricardo and I are quite interesting couple.
We seem very alike and cute as people tell us but no body really knows we now live how we are.
We are both in are mid twenties(I know crazy right). We have not being living together for that long and yet every day that passes by feels like years.
I came to the Bay Area from my hometown of San Diego CA to go to college when I was 18. Ricardo on the other hand has always lived in the Bay Area and still goes to community college in San Mateo, CA.
I met Ricardo in Feb. 2011 because by chance I was hired where he worked a retail store called The Children’s Place. on June 17th that same year he took me on the first date and asked me out that same day.
Since then he would come over to my apartment but never spend the night because his mother always called….”come home!” How annoying is that, and so the struggle began and he decided to leave his house. Thats when I decided to let him know he could stay with me.
Keeping in mind that Ricardo and I have only been dating for a year and a half and yet for both of us this was a huge step to take. I truelly thought after I told him to stay he would find his own place in a month or so. Time passed and it didn’t matter so he stayed.
Ricardo will admit that he is such a mommies boy and always said that he would stay living at home until he was 40yrs old. I on the other hand am a free spirit and I left the bird nest when I was 18 and have been living alone ever since.
One way or another Ricardo and I have learned from each others mistakes, fights, dates, and family. No matter what life has given both of us we still say that moving in together has really tested us but made us stronger. That is the beginning of our journey into our living together stage of our lives.
